Qualifications

• Must be licensed as Registered Nurse in Rhode Island.
• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Excellent interpersonal and clinical judgment under peri-operative conditions.

Responsibilities

• Renders professional nursing care to peri-operative patients including review of charts, administration of medications, IVs, ECG, catheterization and related treatments.
• Participates in scrubbing or circulating during surgical procedures and ensures sterile technique.
• Admits post-anesthesia patients, monitors vital signs and notifies team as needed; maintains patient safety until transfer.
• Maintains and documents medication administration and patient condition in records.
