Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a full-time Circulating Nurse for the East Valley Operating Room in Gilbert. The role involves weekend shifts (Fri, Sat, Sun), with alternating schedules and a 15% shift differential.

This position does not require call and supports urgent surgical care across multiple specialties. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality pediatric nursing care.

Qualifications

• Nursing license and eligibility to practice in Arizona (RN).
• OR experience preferred, Circulating Nurse competency in surgery settings.
• Pediatric OR exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations in the OR setting.
• Documents patient progress and communicates health status to the care team and families.
• Supervises care delivery and delegates tasks to team members while maintaining patient safety and infection control.
• Provides unit orientation and supports hospital processes for patients and families.
• Participates in patient care rounds and conferences to coordinate plan of care.
• Mentors students and new staff, promoting best practices and patient-centered care.
