Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a full-time Circulating Nurse for the Weekend in the East Valley Operating Room. The schedule alternates Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, with days varying and a 15% shift differential. NO CALL for this role.

You will work with a pediatric surgical team across specialties, delivering nursing care per plans of care, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program is preferred.
• Current State of Arizona RN license or multistate license with Arizona start-date eligibility.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions including age and condition to determine initial treatment plan.
• Evaluates patient responses to care and documents progress for team and families.
• Contributes to team effort to ensure compliance with medication, storage and documentation standards.
• Provides orientation to the unit and hospital systems for patients and families.
• Supervises and delegates activities to ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Collaborates with care team and families to coordinate plans of care and participates in rounds.
• Fosters a learning environment and mentors students and new staff.
• Performs miscellaneous job duties as requested.
