Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team on a weekend basis. The role involves providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, contributing to patient recovery and well-being.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide treatment within the established plan of care to achieve patient goals under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain professional conduct and exercise skills appropriate for a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Accurately document patient FIM scores, treatment details, progress, and responses, along with weekly progress notes and discharge summaries within designated timeframes.
• Report patient progress and any changes in condition promptly to the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in discharge planning and coordinate with team members.
• Ensure effective communication with team staff and physicians to promote safe and high-quality outcomes.
• Seek educational resources to stay current and contribute to a high-performance work environment.
• Participate in special projects, committees, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Clinical experience from a physical therapist assistant program is preferred.
