•The weekend incentive bonus for employees is $3 per hour plus base rate, in addition to applicable shift differentials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete & file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer and/or discharge. Receive & transcribe telephone orders from physicians & record on the Physician’s Order Form. Chart nurse’s notes in an informative & descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care. Fill out and complete accident/incident reports & submit to the Director as required. Perform routine charting duties in accordance with established policies & procedures.
- Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Develop & maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility to ensure nursing services meet residents' needs. Create a warm, personal, and positive environment. Receive/give nursing reports at shift change and make rounds with physicians as necessary.
- Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, suction, dressing changes, colostomy care, drainage bags, blood sampling, massages, and range of motion exercises, as required.
- Monitor assigned personnel to ensure compliance with safety regulations regarding equipment and supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information. Report any incidents of unauthorized disclosure. Ensure privacy during nursing care and knock before entering residents' rooms.
- Provide IV & IV site care as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure OR Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Knowledge of nursing & medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
