Job summary

Baptist Health in Alabama is seeking an RN Weekend Charge Nurse to coordinate and evaluate unit activities, mentor staff, and model the nursing process and quality improvements. The role reports to the Nurse Manager and may include additional duties within the department.

Qualifications require a Nursing degree with active RN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required based on area. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending upon area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care during the assigned shift.
• Serve as mentor to staff and act as a role model in applying nursing process and quality improvement standards.
• Coordinate with Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager to meet hospital policies and department goals.
