Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an RN Weekend Charge Nurse to coordinate and evaluate unit activities, mentoring staff and leading quality patient care during weekend night shifts. The role reports to the Nurse Manager and supports hospital policies and QA objectives.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, and a nursing degree; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications may be required based on assignment. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC or similar certifications may be required depending on area.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement; nursing degree required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care.
• Mentor staff and serve as a role model in nursing process and QA standards.
• Supervise and train employees; manage scheduling and time.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff and patients.
