Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Weekend On-Call Caregiver to assist with urgent weekend call-outs and provide care and support to clients when needed. The role offers flexible weekend hours, with on-demand availability and the chance to make a positive impact on those requiring immediate care.

Responsibilities include responding to emergency call-outs, assisting with ADLs, meal prep, health monitoring, companionship, and maintaining safety and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver or CNA preferred.
• Availability to respond to call-outs including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Compassionate, patient and caring attitude toward clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and work independently with minimal supervision.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Be available for emergency call-outs from caregivers who may require assistance or coverage.
• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Monitor client health and report any changes in condition to supervisors or healthcare providers.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of clients while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to on-call requests based on availability and shift requirements.
