Qualifications

• Minimum two years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum two years as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion or related leadership experience.
• Evidence of training completion as preceptor or charge nurse.
• Knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
• Preferred: at least one year of critical care or emergency department nursing experience; Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Acts as on-site administrative designee for off-shifts and weekends.
• Manages off-hours and weekend patient care activities and ensures high quality care.
• Ensures staff compliance with Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and laws/regulations.
• Coordinates staffing, monitors levels, and adjusts skill mix as needed.
• Participates in policy review and development; identifies quality improvements.
• Oversees budgeting, cost reduction opportunities, and resource planning.
• Collaborates with all departments and serves as patient advocate.
• Monitors、evaluates clinical nursing practice and staff education needs.
