Job summary

Desert Mountain Healthcare in Indio, CA is seeking a PRN Weekend Occupational Therapist to join our in-house therapy team for a Friday–Sunday schedule. The role offers competitive pay of $55–$60 per hour based on experience, with flexible weekend shifts to support our geriatric population.

The OT will screen and treat patients with cognitive and ADL impairments, implement evidence-based plans of care, document progress, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes in a post-acute

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist.
OT license in good standing and eligible to practice.

Responsibilities

Screen/evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL impairments and develop a plan of care.
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions.
Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment per requirements.
Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises and modalities.
Assess progress and adjust treatments in the clinical record.
Evaluate outcomes and refer as appropriate based on results.
Counsel patients and families about physical disorders and progress.
Communicate progress with supervisor and health team members.
Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per guidelines.
