Job summary

Desert Mountain Care Center in Indio, CA is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team serving geriatric post-acute and long-term patients. We offer a stable environment with a dedicated therapy team and a competitive pay rate of $35-$40 per hour, based on experience.

Under OT supervision, you will provide rehabilitative interventions, ADL retraining, and therapeutic activities; monitor progress and communicate with the supervising OT to adjust plans;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Hold a current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of devices under OT supervision.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments in collaboration with the supervising OT.
• Report treatment outcomes and effectiveness to the supervising OT.
