Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide weekend coverage (Friday-Sunday) with weekend differential pay and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new part-time hires. The role requires a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and state licensure, with duties including evaluation, treatment, documentation, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state where you work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (within 90 days) by American Heart Association.
• No experience required.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
• Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and evaluates patient abilities and impact on daily living.
• Establishes a plan of care and implements treatment; fabricates assistive devices as needed.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plans; updates physicians and teammates.
• Plans for discharge with home programs and family teaching.
• Completes required documentation including evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Maintains productivity standards and adheres to billing and documentation policies.
• May supervise occupational therapy staff and students as appropriate.
