Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for acute care rehabilitation in Wisconsin. You will evaluate patients, plan and provide therapy, and assist with equipment and discharge planning.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and WI OT licensure. BLS must be obtained within 6 months. Experience is not required, and flexible scheduling may apply to evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Wisconsin OT license required within 6 months after start.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and evaluates patient abilities affecting daily living.
• Establishes a plan of care and implements treatment; fabricates assistive devices as needed.
• Plans discharge including home programs, teaching, and referrals for services.
• Documents progress notes, discharge summaries, and billing records.
• Maintains cleanliness and assists with patient handling and safety.
• Uses modalities and equipment with proper technique and safety.
• Participates in quality improvement and covers caseload as needed.
• Pursues ongoing education and mentors staff as requested.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and growth/development understanding.
