Job summary

Countryside Health Care of Milford is seeking an experienced nursing supervisor to join our team on an every-other-weekend schedule. You will oversee day-to-day nursing activities to ensure safe, timely, and compliant resident care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include directing nursing staff, maintaining policies, coordinating with other departments, participating in QA, and ensuring proper discharge plans. A valid MA nursing license and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Massachusetts nursing license.
• Excellent nursing, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Computer literacy and ability to use electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities in the facility.
• Assist Director of Nursing Services in directing nursing functions.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for nursing services.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with procedures and standard of care.
• Report to Director on nursing operations and QA initiatives.
• Coordinate nursing with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Attend to discharge planning and resident care plans.
• Meet with staff to plan services and shift coverage.
• Monitor staffing levels and absenteeism to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with dress codes and facility policies.
