Qualifications

• Experience in the long-term care setting as a supervisor or manager is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in leadership and supervision of peer staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate and work well with others including the elderly, families, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: two 12-hour shifts per day on weekends with every-other weekend option and differential.
• Monitor staffing schedule and allocate personnel to meet residents' needs.
• Act as clinical resource, coaching staff using nursing process and guidelines.
• Serve as person in charge and direct staff for timely emergencies.
• Conduct rounds to monitor staff assignments and resident concerns.
• Assess residents and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Stabilize residents in acute distress and coordinate medical care.
