Countryside Health Care of Milford is seeking an experienced nursing supervisor to cover every other weekend. The role focuses on directing daily nursing activities and ensuring compliance with state and facility policies in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree with MA licensure, strong leadership, and the ability to manage on a 12-hour weekend shift, ensuring high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Excellent nursing, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional leadership and role modeling.
• Must meet general health requirements.
• Ability to push/pull/move/lift up to 25 pounds for 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing day-to-day nursing activities.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for nursing services.
• Ensure reference materials are current and accessible.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff compliance.
• Provide reports/recommendations to the Director on operations.
• Coordinate nursing with resident services for continuity of care.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program.
• Participate in facility surveys and discharge planning updates.
• Meet with nursing staff to plan services, programs, and activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
