Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Clinical/Skills Lab Instructor to collaborate with Presbyterian Health Systems for our PN and BSN programs. Minimum one day per week (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays) is required.

You will plan and supervise clinical experiences, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate records to support program outcomes. The role emphasizes using adult-learning principles, employing online tools, and staying current with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered nursing license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
• Eligible for approval by Board as Instructor for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration (or BSN with MSN enrollment).
• Minimum four-years' experience as an RN with direct patient care (last five years).
• One-year experience teaching nursing or related courses preferred.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health, or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned health care facilities.
• Evaluate student performance in relation to clinical learning outcomes.
• Provide feedback of clinical performance in a timely manner after observation.
• Maintain accurate clinical and attendance records and assist with data collection.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students using best teaching methods.
• Use online activities to enhance course content and learning.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees.
