University of Kentucky in Lexington is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department. This weekend position involves vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation, and patient care, with two 12.5-hour shifts each Saturday and Sunday and WEPP premium pay.

Must meet listed license/registration/certification requirements, complete Earn While You Learn NCT Training, and maintain American Heart Association BLS certification.

Qualifikationen

• Must have American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Healthcare Provider) at time of hire.
• Experience in hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds daily and work long shifts.

Aufgaben

• Assist RN with vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation and ADLs.
• Stock supplies and respond to patient call lights; orient new patients.
• Assist with patient transfer, admission, discharge, and transportation.
• Move patients and prepare for procedures; handle specimens as needed.
