Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) for a part-time, third shift role supporting the ED team.

Under the direction of the ED RN, you will assist with patient care, specimen collection, and operations, while maintaining accurate data entry and computer usage.

This position requires a high school diploma, Kentucky Nurse Aide certification, BLS, and a commitment to compassionate, efficient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first-year nursing clinical with validation.
• BLS certification required; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in laboratory or customer service preferred.
• Data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED patients under RN supervision.
• Demonstrates effective communication and coordination of patient care.
• Handle specimen collection, processing, transport and analysis per policy.
• Maintain clean and organized work area to ensure workflow.
• Utilize hospital computer systems proficiently.
