Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a quality-driven nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our post-acute care team in Waynesville, North Carolina. This is a part-time weekend position (2 days/week) rounding in skilled nursing facilities with strong support, autonomy, and earning potential.

The role offers compensation on a fee-for-service basis with a range of $34,000 to $40,700 annually and no cap on productivity income. There is onboarding, mentorship, and growth opportunities within the market.

Qualifications

• Licensure: NP or PA license (NC) and DEA.
• Post-acute/acute care experience preferred but not required; new grads welcome.
• Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical exams.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor progress and coordinate care to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a team approach.
• Educate patients and families on health management and preventive strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
