Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Premium to join the Medical Critical Care Stepdown Unit. This full-time role requires 3-12 hour night shifts (7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required; if ADN, plan to complete BSN within 5 years and coordinate with nurse leader.
• 1 year of RN experience in Critical Care or CC fellowship required.
• BLS & ACLS certification; Virginia RN license or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and interpret data.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessments and trends.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care and advocate for patients' rights.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams for patient transitions.
• Document all patient care activities per standards.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
• Support clinical decision making and mentor team members.
