Job summary

Inova Fairfax is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Stepdown team on a 24-bed intermediate care unit. The role features full-time day and night rotations, with a 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required; if ADN, plan to complete BSN within 5 years.
• 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
• BLS & ACLS certification from American Heart Association; VA RN licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and synthesize data.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessments and trends.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care and advocate for patient rights.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and organize transitions.
• Document all patient care activities per standards and drive quality outcomes.
• Lead and mentor team members and support clinical education.
