Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Fellow to transition to the Medical Critical Care Stepdown Unit (IMC/MCCSU). This 24-bed unit cares for stable but critically ill patients, with a typical 3:1 patient ratio and high-acuity care.

The role includes 3-12 hour night shifts or rotating day/night shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, and a sign-on bonus with relocation assistance. We value teamwork and clinical excellence and offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BSN or AD required; if AD, plan to complete BSN within 5 years.
• 1 year of RN experience in critical care or related setting.
• BLS & ACLS certification; Virginia RN license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and interpret data.
• Develop and adjust care plans based on findings and trends.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care and advocate for patients' rights.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team for transitions and services.
• Document all patient care activities per standards and maintain accuracy.
