Job summary

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. in York, PA seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Specialist for the weekend night shift. The role focuses on PLC-based control systems design, integration, testing and troubleshooting to improve automation and processing efficiency.

You will work under the Sr. Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, lead troubleshooting, assist with capital projects, and ensure safety, quality and lean manufacturing practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of controls/instrumentation/electrical experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Formal training in control systems and instrumentation, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and follow all plant safety policies.
• Assist design/modification of process control and instrumentation systems.
• Act as a technical resource for automation projects.
• Improve controls logic for packaging and processing equipment.
• Support electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting with maintenance teams.
• Calibrate instruments and ensure measurement accuracy.
• Provide electrical support safely when needed.
• Flex schedule to support non-standard hours for projects.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S/TPM/RCA.
• Ensure quality and food safety practices are followed.
