Intertek Building & Construction seeks a Controls Systems Engineer to join our Equipment Technology team in York, PA. The role develops and programs control systems for testing equipment and troubleshoots existing systems to support B&C labs and projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• PLC programming coursework and/or experience.
• Ability to produce electrical drawings (AutoCAD).
• BS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and problems to identify system components and develop design specifications for automation systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware and process issues affecting test equipment.
• Assist in designing and pricing new equipment.
• Collaborate with team members throughout design and fabrication.
• Assist in installing wiring and control devices as required.
• Create detailed equipment specifications to guide development and programming.
• Provide excellent customer service and project management.
• Follow safety requirements and company policies.
