Job summary

Aerotek in Middlebury, IN is seeking a dedicated Weekend Night Shift Maintenance Fabricator to perform preventative maintenance on a range of equipment and to support night operations Friday and Saturday, with Sunday welding/fabrication when lines are down.

The role requires MIG steel structural welding and blueprint reading, plus the ability to weld on the fly. A Journeyman certification is a plus, and 4+ years of welding experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial welding/fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform off-the-cuff welding.
• MIG steel structural welding experience.
• Must have own welding hood.
• Journeyman certification is a plus.
• Experience with 480v 3-phase electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including powder coating, stamping, and welding machinery.
• Support maintenance operations on Friday and Saturday nights.
• Conduct project welding and fabrication work on Sunday nights.
• Use saws, grinder wheels, cutoff wheels, plasma and acetylene torches for cutting and welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints and execute welding tasks as required.
• Participate in a MIG steel structural welding test during the interview process.
