Job summary

Aerotek in Middlebury, IN is seeking a Weekend Night Shift Maintenance Fabricator to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and weld/fabricate as needed during downtime. This role requires MIG steel structural welding, blueprint reading, and the ability to perform off-the-cuff welding.

Shift runs Fri-Sun nights; 36 hours paid 40, with benefits described. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, short and long-term disability, onsite clinic, sign-on bonus, tuition reimbursement,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial welding/fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform off-the-cuff welding.
• Must have own welding hood.
• Journeyman certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including powder coating, stamping, and welding machinery.
• Support maintenance operations on Friday and Saturday nights.
• Conduct project welding and fabrication work on Sunday nights.
• Use saws, grinder wheels, cutoff wheels, plasma and acetylene torches for cutting and welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints and execute welding tasks as required.
• Participate in a MIG steel structural welding test during the interview process.
