Job summary

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for weekend night coverage in a Long Term Acute Care setting. The role supports physician-directed respiratory therapies, ventilator management, and patient education.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered with supervision by the Respiratory Therapy Manager and Lead Therapist. Responsibilities include performing prescribed treatments, monitoring ventilators, documenting patient responses, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Respiratory Practitioner in the employing state.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Maintain licenses and certification for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for adult patients (18+) including geriatric, following physician orders for respiratory therapies.
• Explain procedures and educate patients and caregivers, documenting education in the chart.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment including nebulizers, oxygen, humidifiers, and suction devices.
• Manage ventilator setups, monitoring, and weaning as directed; participate in CPR as needed.
• Perform trach care and tube changes per policy; document all changes.
