Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Long Term Acute Care facility in Kentucky. The FT position requires Tue, Wed, Thu 6a-6p shifts with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include managing ventilators, performing therapies, and educating patients.

The successful candidate will be licensed Respiratory Practitioner with BLS at hire and ACLS within 90 days. Maintain licenses throughout employment and participate in departmental meetings.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Practitioner.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Maintains licensure and certification throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients aged 18+.
• Explain treatments and educate patients; document education in charts.
• Set up, operate and monitor respiratory care equipment.
• Perform physician prescribed therapies and ventilator care.
• Assist in ventilator weaning under physician direction.
• Record treatments and patient responses; update MARs and charts.
• Perform trach care and manage tubing as per policy.
• Report changes and coordinate with nurses for patient care.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine PM checks.
• Attend monthly Respiratory Care department meetings.
