Job summary

McLean SouthEast (MSE) is an inpatient psychiatric unit focused on depression and anxiety, part of Mass General Brigham. This weekend night shift role on the General Adult Unit starts at 11pm and offers 8-hour night shifts Friday and Saturday.

Training requires 40 hours on days during the first week to orient you to our care processes. Responsibilities include direct patient care, safety, and supporting therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Related experience 0–1 year preferred.
• BLS certification and CPI training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
• Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
• Provides accurate shift-to-shift reports and remains on the unit during incoming shift.
