Job summary

The McLean Hospital Corporation is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders during a night shift. This part-time role involves 32 hours per week, with shifts 11pm–7:30am on Friday through Monday nights, onsite at 52 Oak Street, Massachusetts.

You will support the therapeutic milieu, advocate for patients, and assist with care, documentation, and safety. Must have high school diploma and BLS; prior CNA/LNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as Nursing Assistant preferred; LNA in NH board preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR systems and patient care documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with health care team and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions
• Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL).
• Provides accurate shift-to-shift reports and stays on unit during incoming shift report.
• Thinks and acts quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
• Maintains professional boundaries with patients.
• Completes and files all documentation in a timely manner.
