Job summary

PPG in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Production Superintendent to lead a production group, ensuring volume, cost, and quality standards are met. You will drive productivity, analyze production processes, and recommend improvements while reporting to the Plant's Area Operations Manager and working onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related technical field required.
• 7+ years of chemical plant operations experience in batch manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels, customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to meet production, safety and quality goals.
• Develop processes and workflows for production and set work standards.
• Support training material development for department staff and customers.
• Build annual workforce plan and mentor team members.
• Initiate projects for cost savings, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Develop productivity and capacity plans for materials, machines and staff.
