Job summary

PPG, based in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Production Superintendent to lead a production group, ensuring volume, cost and quality targets are met on site. The role oversees productivity, process analysis and continuous improvements on an overnight shift (4–10 hour shifts) per weekday.

You will report to the Plant's Area Operations Manager and collaborate with QA, Engineering, Maintenance and Process Engineering to address customer concerns and improvements, while promoting a 5S culture and lean

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in chemical plant operations in batch manufacturing; Automotive OEM paint manufac preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or other continuous improvement certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to meet production, safety and quality goals.
• Develop processes and workflow for production and create work standards.
• Support training material development for department staff, plant and customers.
• Build the annual workforce plan and mentor team members.
• Initiate projects for cost savings, quality, efficiency and improvements.
• Develop productivity/capacity plans for materials, machines and employees.
