Community Health Systems, Inc. in Foley, AL, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our weekend night team. The PCT provides patient-centered care under the supervision of an RN or LPN and assists with daily living activities and team communications.

Responsibilities include aiding with basic patient care, recording vitals, meals, mobility, and infection control while using PPE. CNA or CPCT preferred; BCLS within 90 days of hire; 0–2 years acute care experience or nursing student

Qualificações

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or CPCT - Certified Patient Care Technician preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs and intake/output.
• Supports patients with meals, feeding, bathing, grooming, and mobility.
• Assists with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collects urine and stool samples and performs blood glucose monitoring where needed.
• Communicates patient information to the care team and reports changes.
• Maintains infection control practices and proper PPE usage.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports performance improvement efforts.
