Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our Foley, AL night shift team. The role supports nursing staff by providing delegated basic patient care, ensuring a safe, clean environment and effective communication within the care team.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, support mobility and feeding, collect samples, and adhere to infection control practices and PPE requirements. CNA/CPCT preferred. BCLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or nursing program enrollment preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility.
• Collect urine and stool samples and monitor blood glucose via finger sticks.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Follow infection control and PPE protocols.
• Maintain continuous observation of patients when required.
• Attend performance improvement and risk management activities.
