Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician for the weekend night shift. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a heavy manufacturing environment with a strong safety focus on ZERO HARM.

The night shift runs Thursday through Sunday, 7:00pm–7:00am. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and operating welding and cutting equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years as industrial maintenance technician.
• Read instructions; perform basic math.
• Stable employment history required.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE at all times.
• Be inquisitive and willing to learn.
• Maintain good attendance.
• Perform hands-on maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair and reassemble equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment.
• Measure lengths, diameters, weights, and counts.
