Job summary

Insteel Industries in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician for the day shift (Mon.–Thu., 7:00 AM–7:00 PM). You will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery in a safety-focused environment, with overtime as needed to meet demand.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience; you should be able to troubleshoot, operate welding tools, and perform basic math; a strong work ethic and willingness to get hands dirty are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• 3 years of prior industrial maintenance technician experience required.
• Ability to read, complete forms, and follow written instructions.
• Basic math including fractions and decimals; good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble production equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of machines.
• Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems; operate cutting torch and welding equipment.
