Job summary

Insteel Industries, Inc. in Gallatin, TN is hiring a Maintenance Mechanical Technician for the weekend night shift (Thu–Sun, 7:00pm–7:00am) to install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment.

You’ll troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safely operate cutting torches and welding gear while upholding a ZERO HARM safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• 3 years of previous work experience in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read forms and written instructions.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals.
• Stable employment history.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and production equipment
• Assist team members with preventative maintenance of machines
• Repair hydraulic & pneumatic equipment
• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment
• Have basic math skills and the ability to measure lengths, diameters, weights, and counts
