Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY, seeks a Weekend RN to provide direct nursing care in the Critical Care Unit, following established policies and procedures. This role supports patient safety and quality outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

The position is Full Time - 0.9 FTE, with shift hours of 7p-7a on a rotating weekend schedule; Kentucky RN license required, BLS in 45 days, ACLS within 12 months, and an Associate degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred within

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing or diploma required at hire; Bachelor's degree in nursing required within 5 years.
Kentucky RN license required on hire; BLS within 45 days; ACLS within 12 months.
No prior required experience.
Ability to work 7p-7a and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.
Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
