The Arc Mid Hudson is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Sheldon Hill residence in Olivebridge, near Kingston, NY. You will support six residents with developmental disabilities in a home-like setting and in community activities.

The role emphasizes training, safety, and fostering independence through person-centered activities, with a strong focus on teamwork and compassionate care. A HS diploma or GED is preferred, and post‑secondary education in Human Services is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• An acceptable NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge are a must.
• Training will include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
• Help residents participate in daily activities and community outings.
• Promote safety, independence, and well‑being for residents through person‑centered planning.
