Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson seeks a Direct Support Professional for Sheldon Hill residence, delivering daily living support and skills training to individuals with developmental disabilities. A high school diploma or GED is desired; NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge are essential. Training includes Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, post-high-school in Human Services a plus.
• NYS driver's license is required.
• Basic computer knowledge is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, accompany them on community outings, and document progress.
