Job summary

Wellstar Cobb in Austell, Georgia is seeking a FT Weekend Night CT Technologist. Technologists are respected clinical professionals within a collaborative care team. This role offers a Saturday, Sunday and Monday schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive Wellstar rewards.

Responsibilities include performing CT procedures, maintaining ALARA dose, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Requires ARRT certifications and a radiologic technology program graduate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications are required or pending.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and finalize in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; help maintain crash cart and life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and coordination with other modalities.
• Follow regulatory requirements and elevate issues to the supervisor.
