Job summary

James Cole Winery in Napa, CA, seeks a part-time Tasting Room Associate to join our intimate, family-owned team. The role emphasizes weekend availability (Fri–Sun), 8–16 hours per week initially, with potential for more hours as needed.

You will host guests, educate them about our history, and drive wine sales and club memberships in a welcoming, high-end atmosphere. Positive energy and wine enthusiasm are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of wine industry experience preferred, but hospitality or customer-facing roles are acceptable.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be driven, able to take initiative, and have problem-solving aptitude.
• Outgoing personality with positive outlook and reliable teamwork.
• Interest in wine required; familiarity with Commerce7 POS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Host groups and provide memorable and positive tasting experiences.
• Educate guests on our unique history and share our story.
• Sell wines in a direct-to-consumer environment.
• Encourage guests to join our Wine Club.
• Sell over the phone, book reservations, and provide top-level customer service.
