Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Physician Assistants to partner as independent contractors to provide health readiness services to U.S. military personnel.

The work is primarily on weekends with occasional weekday coverage in Pennsylvania, including mobile treatment and telemedicine support. Responsibilities include health assessments, reviewing medical histories, interviewing service members, and documenting readiness classifications.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license in the state
• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high daily patient volumes
• Able to work extended hours and travel, including weekends
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Not required: diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview service members to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including behavioral health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the medical record using a proprietary system.
