Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Physician Assistants to join as independent contractors to provide health readiness services to military personnel under the Reserve Health Readiness Program. Work is focused on weekends with some weekday coverage in Pennsylvania, requiring an active PA license, CPR/BLS, and experience in primary, urgent, or occupational health with mobility between locations.

• Active PA license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health
• Experience with mobile medical services
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology
• Able to work extended hours and travel, including weekends
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system
