Job summary

Kidsave in Virginia is seeking a Weekend Miracles Program Manager to lead all aspects of the program, working with our national team, communications staff, and volunteers. You will drive outreach, recruitment, and events to connect older youth in foster care with host families and mentors.

The role requires daily hands‑on participation, strong partnership-building, and a commitment to trauma-informed, youth-centered care.

Qualifications

7+ years’ work experience, including 5+ in the child welfare system working with foster youth and families.
MSW, MSSW or MSSA degree.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel across state.
Successful completion of a background check required.

Responsibilities

Manage all day‑to‑day operations of Weekend Miracles Virginia.
Lead and supervise regional staff, coordinators, and volunteers.
Organize and oversee monthly "Meet the Kids" connection events for youth and host families.
Manage youth referrals and matches, including Connection Meetings.
Ensure trauma‑informed, youth‑centered relationship‑building between youth and host families.
Track and support and host family relationships.
Manage individual youth advocacy efforts, including youth and family stories and photography.
Improve family/youth matching outcomes.
