Job summary

The Wenger Group is seeking a Mill Technician I to join our grain milling team. You will test grain quality, manually add feed ingredients, monitor inventory, and support maintenance and housekeeping in the mill area.

You will follow FSMA and SQF standards, work weekends as needed, and develop basic animal nutrition knowledge while using Laserfiche, The Wenger System, and WEM for records. Growth opportunities exist within the shift-based roles.

Qualifications

• FSMA and SQF compliance understanding
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Basic computer skills and rail to understand inventory systems
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with production equipment

Responsibilities

• Mill operations and grain testing, including moisture and dockage checks
• Manual addition of feed ingredients and recording usage
• Maintain inventory and housekeeping in the mill area
• Perform routine maintenance and understand equipment operation
• Follow safety policies and regulatory requirements and document accurately
