Job summary

Valley View Milling LLC is seeking a Weekend Mill Assistant to support daily mill operations in Seneca, KS. The role involves aiding with setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of milling equipment used for grain and feed production, while ensuring quality and safety standards.

You will load/unload materials, operate forklifts, track quantities and lot numbers, and assist with inventory and housekeeping. Attention to detail and reliability are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a mill, manufacturing, or agricultural setting is a plus.
• Ability to operate or learn forklifts and other machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of milling equipment under supervision.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, conveyors, or manual labor.
• Monitor equipment for proper function and report issues.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of mill equipment and areas.
• Set up hand adds for diets and unload inbound ingredients.
• Weigh, label and record product quantities and lot numbers.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with inventory counts and storage of materials.
• Communicate with mill operators and supervisors about production needs.
• Support sanitation, housekeeping and general upkeep.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
