Job summary

Modineer Company in Niles, MI is seeking a full-time Direct Labor Welder to perform MIG and TIG welding and related setup in the factory environment. The role involves reading work instructions, loading/unloading parts, changing weld tips, and ensuring welds meet print specifications.

You will operate spot welders and grinders, apply PPE, complete production documentation, and participate in safety practices. The position may require lifting up to 50 lbs and weekend shifts as described.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use small hand tools, grinders, sanders, etc.
• Must be able to pass written and practical weld evaluations
• Must pass an eye exam (with or without corrective lenses)

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work instructions
• Load and unload parts
• Change weld tips, nozzles, and fixtures
• Wear appropriate PPE
• Perform product quality checks in accordance with work instructions
• Use small hand-held tools to make minor adjustments to parts
• Read and understand measurement devices
• Assemble loose parts into a jig fixture
• Weld per print specifications
• Remove weld spatter
• Handle/lift/push/pull up to fifty (50) lbs. on a repetitive basis
