Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in the United States seeks an experienced welder to join tubes, sheet metal and studs using MIG/TIG welding and related techniques. You will read blueprints, operate measuring devices, and set up work to meet close tolerances.

This role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety, with lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Travel minimal; a strong mechanical background and 2 years welding experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years welding experience preferred.
• Ability to use MIG/TIG welders to join metal to close tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret complicated shop drawings.
• Understanding of standardized welding symbols used on shop drawings.
• Strong mechanical background and basic math skills (decimals & fractions).
• Must wear safety protective equipment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Interact with others and stay self-motivated to maximize production.
• Read and understand blue prints.
• Operate and read all measuring devices.
• Organize and set up work.
• Stand for long periods, with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs or more with assistance.
• Follow safety procedures; wear welding helmet during operation.
